Context
Monika Lademann is a watercolor and calligraphy artist who, during a major personal and career transition, decided to fully embrace her creative and entrepreneurial path. She began sharing her work more widely and connecting with new audiences, which called for a brand that authentically reflected her art and her evolving identity. This project, like many re-brandings, was both a visual and personal transformation.
Goals
- Build a personal brand that reflects Monica’s artistic style and personality
- Align visual identity with her creative offers, pricing, and positioning
- Create a brand that feels warm, authentic, and timeless
- Integration of personal handwriting and artistic elements into the brand
Role
Branding and visual identity design
Creative direction and co-creation
Logo, typography, and color system
Approach and solution
The brand is rooted entirely in Monica’s handwriting, signature, and unique artistic style. The color palette was derived directly from her work, ensuring every visual element connects to her actual illustrations and calligraphy. Every detail, from the strokes in the logo to the icons and patterns, was intentional, preserving the organic, flowy, and magical character of her art.
The result is a visual identity that feels personal, expressive, and timeless—a brand that brings Monica joy and supports her creative journey for years to come.
